Description
The prickly pear (Opuntia) has been used in South America for many years. In Mexico (where Opuntia is also called nopal), it was observed that women who regularly ate fresh prickly pear fruits had to go to the toilet less often at night.
The prickly pear has been an important food source in Mexico since the time of the Aztecs. Its seed oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids. Dr. Oldhaver's prickly pear (Opuntia) capsules contain vitamin C, which contributes to a healthy metabolism, and vitamins B2 and B6, which contribute to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes (e.g., of the bladder, urinary tract, and vaginal tract).
