About the Book

Practical Handbook for Therapeutic Practice

Dr. Mathias Oldhaver

Colostrum is one of the most fascinating natural substances in biological medicine. As the newborn’s first food, it combines immunoglobulins, lactoferrin, growth factors, and numerous other bioactive components into a unique protection and regeneration system. In recent decades, research has shown that colostrum is far more than a traditional natural remedy.

Its effects on the intestinal barrier, the immune system, and the regulation of inflammation open up therapeutic perspectives for a multitude of conditions—from susceptibility to infection and gastrointestinal disorders to chronic inflammatory processes and stress- or therapy-associated complaints. This book provides a well-founded overview of the current scientific data on colostrum and lactoferrin.

At the same time, it serves as a practice-oriented guide for naturopaths, physicians, pharmacists, and other therapists who wish to integrate these special natural substances into their treatment strategies in a targeted and responsible manner. Numerous studies, case examples, and concrete application recommendations help to realistically assess the possibilities and limitations of the therapy and implement them directly into practice.
A scientifically sound handbook for anyone who wishes to use colostrum and lactoferrin competently, with nuance, and for therapeutic benefit.
